CISSP certified – congratulations Sam Panicker

Undoubtedly, one of the greatest assets of Satalyst is the quality and talent of its people. At Satalyst, we invest heavily in the training of our people. Moreover, we encourage our people to take charge of and be the leaders of their careers at Satalyst and Canon Business Services ANZ.

A senior consultant in the Satalyst cyber security practice, Sam Panicker truly demonstrates our Satalyst core values of Excellent, Hardworking, High Performing, and Balanced. With the support of Satalyst, Sam invested five months of study and passed the challenging CISSP exam on his first attempt. Sam is now CISSP certified.

The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a globally recognised certification for information technology security professionals. The International Information System Security Certification Consortium offers the certification. The (ISC)² is a non-profit organisation that focuses on certification and training for cybersecurity professionals. The certification demonstrates that Sam can design, implement, and manage a cybersecurity program at the enterprise level.

Becoming CISSP-certified requires more than passing the CISSP certification exam. A minimum of five years of full-time, hands-on experience in at least two of the eight cybersecurity knowledge domains is required.

CISSP domains

  1. Security and risk management
  2. Asset security
  3. Security architecture and engineering
  4. Communication and network security
  5. Identity and access management (IAM)
  6. Security assessment and testing
  7. Security operations
  8. Software development security

The 6-hour exam consists of 250 questions, and the minimum pass is 70%
